When my client called me and told me she wanted to do a family session with their new puppy, Coco, I was overjoyed. I happen to love family sessions, but add a pet in the session, and I love them even more! After all, pets are part of the family too. What better way to document a new puppy, then to have a photo shoot, right?

I met the family the morning after they had gotten Coco. They had to drive 4 hours to pick her up and everyone was a bit tired the morning of our shoot. We walked around the neighborhood a bit and got family pictures as well as pictures of the kids with their new puppy. We ended up by the beach, where Coco decided she had had enough modeling for the day and plopped herself down onto the sand. She literally would not more. She was so tired, poor thing!

The pictures from their family session came out so great that my client ended up ordering a little album so they would always be able to look back and remember Coco as a puppy. I can’t wait to see how big she gets!
