When digital photography came along, a big part of the photography experience disappeared. People stopped printing their images and those precious memories ended up on a disc sitting in a drawer or they were simply posted on Facebook. Whatever happened to albums you could sit down and look through and tell stories about? It’s sad really.

Well, I’m pleased about a trend that’s starting to take shape in the photography industry… photographers are going back to being full-service photographers. Many are now walking their clients through the process of selecting their favorite images that they want to print and display in their homes. Let’s face it, it takes a lot of thought and planning to figure out what sizes to get and where to best display them in your home. Somehow, life gets in the way and most of the time, it just never gets done.

I really want my clients to walk away with printed products to hold, display in their home and be able to enjoy. I mean, what good is it to hire a photographer, get beautiful portraits taken, and then never get them printed? Several of my clients have told me they don’t want just the digital images anymore. They want prints too.

With that said, I’m so excited to share some new products that I just ordered! These are gorgeous items that you won’t find on your own. These specialty products really make your portraits a piece of artwork.

The first one is an 11×14 printed canvas held up by reclaimed wood, jute and copper accents. It’s such a beautiful way to display your portraits, whether it be a newborn baby, child, family, pet or other special memory.

The last product is more modern looking, but will definitely stand out in your home or office! The acrylic block is a show stopper! Your image is printed on Gloss Giclée paper. The 1-inch thick high-gloss acrylic layer magnifies the color and definition of the print beneath it. Available in 5″ x 7″ or 8″ x 10″.
